With over 15 years of expertise in ballet and tap, and an additional decade specializing in jazz, hip hop, and Irish tap, Karissa has developed a well-rounded skill set that she is eager to bring to Diamond Dance Studio.

Karissa received her formal dance training at the Maciolek School of Dance, where she studied under the renowned Karen Salb for ten years. Karen, who herself trained under the legendary Russian ballerina Natalie Krasnoff, not only taught Karissa the technical aspects of dance but also imparted valuable life lessons that continue to influence her teaching style.

Throughout Karissa's dance career, she had the opportunity to participate in a number of memorable experiences. Highlights include taking classes with the cast of Disney’s The Lion King in Florida and performing at Universal Studios. She also had the honor of dancing in the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker as a child, and later, as the Arabian Princess in her senior year’s production.
